FUR SEWING
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where can I buy your fur creations?

You can check out what I have available in my Etsy shop.

Where are you located?

Near Osler, Saskatchewan, Canada.

Can you ship to me?

I ship within Canada, and internationally where permitted by law. Shipping is the buyer's expense. Any import fees/duty are the buyer's responsibility. Different countries/states have different laws regarding import/sales of fur, particularly with fur-bearing endangered species listed in the CITES treaty.

Do you do custom orders?

Yes, I can sew custom orders as my schedule allows. Check out my rate sheet and contact me with your idea for a custom order.

Can you sew the furs I harvested myself?

Yes, but only if they are already professionally tanned. I recommend International Fur Dressers & Dyers in Winnipeg, MB as closest to my location. Home-tanned furs aren't accepted as the fur quality/consistency is unsuitable for garment sewing..

Can you tan my raw furs?

No, I do not accept raw furs. I don't offer tanning services. Your furs must be professionally tanned before sending to me. I recommend International Fur Dressers & Dyers as closest to my location.

Can you sew my vintage fur into new designs?

Yes, I am open to re-designing vintage fur coats/accessories. However, vintage fur sometimes isn't in the best condition and may not be suitable for re-styling. It may be fragile and not hold stitches as well as new fur. Vintage fur is more fragile and not as durable. I do the best I can with it, but it's important to be aware of the limitations of vintage fur.

How does payment work?

I accept PayPal, e-transfer (within Canada), cash, or credit card. For custom orders, 50% payment up front reserves your booking in my line up, and 50% payment upon completion and prior to shipping/pick up.
