SIZING:
 
Most people feel comfortable with a walking stick hand grip around elbow height. The overall length of the stick can be just above elbow height, or a taller length staff if you wish. Send me a message to discuss the height of stick for you.
 
HOW IT'S MADE:
 
The stick is sustainably harvested from local wild willow groves. The “diamonds” are unique physical formations resulting from fungi interaction with the wood. The wood grows in irregular patterns which resemble beautiful red-brown diamonds.

Once bark is removed, the pole is dried, diamonds cleared out with a rotary bit, sanded multiple times, and varnished with several coats of indoor/outdoor sealer.

From harvest to completion, the entire process takes between 6 months - 1 year to make a diamond willow walking stick. I have several sticks pre-harvested, dried, and ready to finish just for you.
 
Colours and styles vary - each walking stick is unique - no two are alike! Pictures are examples of past work. Your stick will be one-of-a-kind variations in length, curves, diamonds, colour, and add-on finishes.
